How it works
Initial Assessment
Upon initiating contact with Cross Over, you will be assigned a specialist adviser. To begin, the specialist adviser will engage in a discussion about the user's needs, obtaining crucial details such as:
- Height
- Weight
- Age
- Current Seating Arrangement
- Existing Medical Conditions
- Current Challenges Faced
Setting Goals
Following the initial consultation, a face-to-face meeting will be scheduled to delve into goals and understand the client's aspirations for the future.
Trying a Demo
Based on the prescription, we will construct a demonstrator model of the recommended powerchair. After this a second assessment will be conducted on-site, providing the user with the opportunity to test the demonstrator chair. Adjustments can be made during this session to ensure that the wheelchair aligns precisely with their individual requirements.
Billing and Funding
Upon finalizing the specifications, we will provide a quote. If required, we will collaborate with case managers, solicitors, occupational therapists, etc., to facilitate the approval of funding.
Delivery
Once the powerchair is built to specification, the next step is to coordinate delivery. We help facilitate the delivery with the client's key support group, which may involve family members and our occupational therapist.
Follow up
Following delivery, clients can fully embrace the experience of using their powerchair in various scenarios and settings!
